Welsh Week & Eisteddfod

What an amazing week we had. We are so very proud of all the children and would like to thank everyone in the community who helped them to complete the homework tasks for the competitions. The eisteddfod day was fantastic and the children thoroughly enjoyed making memories again. There are many photographs and videos of the day on our school twitter account. Please take a look. The pictures really do give a great flavour of the whole day. The winning team was gwyrdd with 900 points. Thank you Mrs Fry for organising such a wonderful day!

Also a great big thank you to our cook Irene who made an amazing cawl and bara brith. It was delicious! Most of the children thoroughly enjoyed the cawl and even though there were some who didn't at least they had a try. Some children were encouraged to try and then realised how delicious it was and wanted seconds. The bara brith went down a treat too. A true Welsh day with Welsh food.
